tie method:
I inverted the shirt (turned it inside-out), then twisted clockwise starting in the shirt center.
dye method:
On the front, I dyed a pie slice (sector) about one-third of the pie. The dye on the back matches the front.
on the design:
I wanted to see how repeatable I could get for a single, simple design. So I tried to get Peaces 1 through 5 as identical as possible across a range of shirt sizes.
on the final product:
The black spots are only medium dark, and are a surrounded with a light pink fringe.
