tie method:
On the front of the shirt, I marked out lines to create vertical pleat folds on the shirt. However, after I folded up a rough 10-15 cm section, I tied the folded section tightly with synthetic sinew, and proceeded to reverse the folds for the next 10-15 cm section. That is, what in the first section had been mountain folds, now became valley folds, and vice versa. I repeated this tying and fold-reversing from the bottom to the top of the shirt.
dye method:
Shirt had been dried fully before dying, though I did spray a light mist on the shirt to promote wetting of the dye onto the shirt.
on the design:
Along with PCWH 18, this shirt was tied & dyed before '''peacewhere''' was officially established. This was my second attempt at the willow pattern.
on the final product:
This shirt came out fairly light in terms of dye-coverage. From far away it has sort of a birch tree bark look to it.
