tie method:

Inverted the shirt, then folded it in half (left sleeve into right). I made pleat folds at roughly 45° from the midline of the shirt.

dye method:

I marked out bands 5" in width. Applied dye to every other band. The dye application on the top matched the bottom.

on the design:

I notced that most of the other '''peacewhere''' peaces had relatively small patches of black distributed across the whole shirt. I wanted to try some bolder designs that would be distinctive at a distance. I figured a striped V / chevron pattern would be a good place to start.

on the final product:

Super happy with this one. The white bands stayed clean which balances the black stripes well.
