tie method:
I tied this shirt in a pattern I'd seen before online often called "glitch". It involves pleat folds that overlap, sort of forming a roof-shingle like look when folded. For this shirt I did this glitch-style folding from the bottom to the top of the shirt. Then, I made standard pleat folds across the shirt (from left to right).
dye method:
I dyed both sides of the tied shirt (top and bottom).
on the design:
This was my first attempt with the glitch-style folding. Didn't have a clear idea of what it would look like.
on the final product:
Overall a bit darker than expected. Granted I dyed both sides at 100% coverage, but I expected the folds to resist a bit more. Like Peace 29, there aren't any truly white regions, as the lightest area are still colored by some dye. That being said, I like the overall pattern. I will try again with dyeing just a single side. The shirt has an overall bluish cast.
