Without folding in half, I made simple pleat folds at 45° relative to the shirt mid-line.

dye method:

I marked out bands 5" in width. Applied dye to every other band. The dye application on the top matched the bottom.

on the design:

Much like Peace 23, this peace plays around with a bold design. Instead of the chevron stripes (accomplished with the shirt fold), there are simply diagonal stripes

on the final product:

Love the look. Kind of caution-tape look. I'm curious to return to this design in the future and play around with the making width of the black stripes wider or narrower than the white stripes.
